Well, last Friday I finished! It's been so much fun to see it all come together and the boys, who are 4 and 1 1/2, seem really happy with their "new" room. Which, of course, is the most important thing!
Here's a before shot of the room.
Karen had bought a few things before we started working together that she wanted to work into the space. There were lots of framed pictures, a collection of paper lanterns to be used as night lights, a wall decal she'd picked out, a piano, and the train table in the center of the room. I selected a few of the framed pictures and did a gallery wall above the piano. I hung the lanterns at varying heights in a cluster above the train table for a chandelier effect, using clear hanging wire and small white screw-hooks. The decal went on the long empty wall opposite the quilt you see in the photo above.
Ready for the before and after?
The other letter has been on backorder for awhile now but is due in next week. So, technically, I'm not "done"...but close enough, right?
It was so much fun for me to work on a boys' room. The four-year old sweetly handed me a gift when I got to his house on Friday...a pink t-shirt with a drill on it and the words "Drill Baby, Drill." Then he gave me a hug. Seriously...does it get much cuter than that??

ReplyDeletePier 1!
DeleteActually...now I think you're talking about the wall sconces. The hanging lanterns on the ceiling are from Pier 1. The wall sconces are the Depot Sconce from PB Kids.
