You are either going to love me for this recipe (because it is rich and delicious and bridges summer and fall desserts perfectly) or hate me for this dessert (because it's going to tempt you to derail your diet). Hopefully love :)
Our early fall weather in New England can be kind of wacky - freezing at night, warm in the daytime; a scarf one day and short sleeves the next. The combination of my favorite part of summer, peaches, and the apples that are everywhere come fall, makes it the perfect dessert to bridge the two seasons.
It's part cookie and part crisp, cinnamony and buttery and juicy and comforting. It was just exactly what I was craving in a dessert last weekend, and hopefully what you are too!
